The local Charlottesville Center for Peace and Justice held it’s weekly war protest on Thursday. (Corner of McIntire/Ridge and Main Streets, in front of the Federal Building, every Thursday, 4:30 – 5:30, signs provided.)
This was also the day that several peace groups (MoveOn.org, True Majority) called for Stop the Escalation Rallies across the nation. Bolstered by the added publicity, more than 50 people turned out for the local Charlottesville rally. In attendance were families with small children, the usual Peace and Justice stalwarts, and a member of Pacifist Posse!
Thanks for attending, Pat.
